The women in the photographs draw attention to their sexual characteristics by covering, in one case, the pubic area and, in the other, a breast [footnote 16 in the original]. The comparison between woman and vessel is an old one. Rounded form (the shape of an egg), opening and depression can be associated with both woman and vessel. Thus, the qualities of the female body are being addressed.
